Cheap to fly to faro? All we ever hear from the budget airlines is how cheap it is to use them.Unless you own property out there and are flexible when you can travel ,im afraid the rest of us get shafted big time. They know the change over days are mainly saturdays so they whack the prices up . And another thing the price you see is not the price you pay when booking flights , why do they only advertise one way and don't tell you about the hidden charges tax etc .My poor mother has got to pay a fortune for us to fly out on saturdays 2 or 3 times a year

know what you mean though. When we go end of May we are going saturday-saturday because our sons girlfriend is doing her A levels and can only have half term off. Flights before that were cheaper. We are also flying there half term in october so getting stung again. Also we have to pay full fare for my 9yr old grandson.

easyjet have a sale on at the moment. I never seem to have problems getting a reasonably cheap flight whenever I need one. I always use easyjet though as I can never find anything remotely cheap with anyone else. I guess it depends where you are flying from.

If you can pick your times, then EJ can be really cheap. If you are stuck with school hols then it's not so good. If you are stuck with school hols and change over days then you do get stuffed.

I have just booked for the end of April, beginning of May. I usually check a number of web sites and go with the cheapest on the day. We are lucky though we live about the same distance from Manchester & Liverpool airports, as easy jet go from Liverpool and Jet2 go from Manchester. I checked Easy Jet, but they were dearer than Jet 2.com this time.

From what i've been told EJ like a cattle truck, although i've never flown with them. Also leaves our airport at 6am, dont think i could make it. Well perhaps i could but would have to drag son and duvet across tarmac. Suprised you dont have private jet Jose

easyjet is no different to any other airline in my experience, in fact its much better than some. And the 6.10 from EMA to Faro is a great flight. Best time to fly in my opinion!

We have flown back and forth to the UK every other week since before Christmas as my Dad has been very ill in hospital. Personally I find easyJet hit and miss, sometimes deplorable others ok, but they are not my airline of choice, I much prefer Monarch - who are sometimes cheaper than easyJet, that is of course including taxes etc. - otherwise it wouldn't be cheaper.
I know others like flying with easyJet, it's horses for courses, but this is my opinion and I am speaking from personal experience

I fly with many different airlines, and to be honest I have always had reasonable flights with easyjet, both in terms of service and cost. I pay stacks more than my OH as he flies during the week (and often gets flights for about £10 plus taxes return, and if I go on the saturday, I am paying nearer £150 return. If I book early enough, then I can get the costs for a weekend down to around £60 - leave it until 2 months before the flight, and the price goes up to £140 return for the identical flight.

The answer is be prepared, book your flights as soon as they come up for sale, and keep an eye out for their discount deals. Monarch flights are sometimes cheaper, but by the time you add in the extra they charge for taxes etc, they end up more expensive. Plus they don't fly on the days I want to travel, which doesn't help!

we mainly use Easy Jet out of east midlands - firstly for the time of the flights 6 am and secondly it is relatively close - doncaster sheffield is however closer but the cost of the flights with thomson fly are always more expensive and the taxes are double that of Easy Jet. The service out of East Midlands has always been good and there are very few delays as it is quite often the first flight out in a morning. We have used Monarch on a few occasions out of both Luton and Gatwick - but have not found their service to be any better than Easy Jet.

I always fly Easyjet cos I like the early morning flight from Stansted..but Ive had bit of a shock just now when booking Sept flights..
I should have booked earlier..boy has it gone up since I last looked!
