What a very interesting and enjoyable newsletter..thanks Karen 
First of all, pleased to hear that Barney ( my friend in the lampshade)made a full recovery.
That trip to Farol island sounded great; the photos are stunning! I would love to take a trip there sometime..looks a very peaceful calm place.
I love that bit, when flying into Faro, as the plane goes over that little stretch of sea and the flats..and before you know it, theres the red soil and you're landing!
and I know how your mum-in-law feels but she'll soon be back.Please remember me to her..I'm the one who kept interrupting her evening meals
