Yes I would love to be your photographer on a trip aloft. My wife and I are thinking of maybe coming out for a week near the end of January. I would love to meet you and anyone else who reads this thread and have a few beers.

I don't mean to impose on you, but if you are planning a flight near the end of January next I would be interested and of course cover the cost involved

. We have no definate dates as yet. We are still in the good old USA

Hi Roy,
Thank you for the PM. Will probably take you up on the offer when we are next in CVO. My wife is not too eager to go up in such a small plane. 737's and the like are her favourite. See you had heavy rain last week. Never thought of roof gardens or terraces not being to cope with the rain. Never been mentioned in any of the 'Buying homes abroad' programs on tv.

Thanks for checking out the video of the trip over CVO. We will probably be coming out in late Jan or Feb ourselves, so we'll see the place again.

OK I'm back from my fingerprinted and retina scanned visit to the good old USA. The security getting in and out is verging on paranoia!
I've sent the photos taken in Carvoeiro way back in 1980 to Steen for putting up in the photo gallery. I hope you find them interesting. Don't know when they will appear but they have been sent.
I've heard there was an earth tremor that shook the windows and doors in CVO recently. Is the 'House on the Hill' still standing or is it like 'The cigerette smoking man' in The X Files said "Your time is up and you leave with nothing?

Just had a peek Joe....very interesting/nice pics..as you say ..fishermens cottages replaced by cafes ? that right?
But apart from that..it doesn't seem to have changed that much in 24 years ..would you say so?
in the early 90s of our time there..seem to recall a taverna actually on beach that did bbq meals?
Well..earthquake/floods..'your' house is still standing..kteees vouched for that

Im out there next Tuesday for 2 weeks.Would you still like some pics taken...did you say of the 'inside'?

Yes, there were houses on the west side of the main square occupied by local people in those days. Long gone now.
I hope the weather improves for your visit. No earthquakes! Lucky you.
And, yes I would love some interior photos of the house. You be careful up there, you hear me now? It's full of rubble and stones. I don't want you doing anything dangerous and getting hurt. Please be careful.

I have seen a new member since 12 Dec. Homme Poco is his handle. He's a retired builder. I wonder if he can have a look at it for me?

Hi everybody
Well, by the webcam it looked like a quiet time in the square on New Years Night! Were all the festive proceedings indoors. No fireworks display?

OK. Where is Homme Poco? Still no reply! My latest question regarding the house on the hill to ponder is:- What is the law in Portugal regarding 'squatters rights'?
Do they have any? or have they to be on the site for a certain length of time? Any lawyers around?
