Our friends are out in October and guess what, he is an FD for Warburtons, so he is going to bring me a Toastie Loaf AND Crumpets. mmmmmmm I can taste them now, with all the butter melting through the holes, but my favourite is crunchy peanut butter on a really hot crumpet - delish

However, Sharen, I will definitely be ready for another fix by Christmas though xx

The Smokehouse (Fumeiro do Algarve) is based in a place called TORRE, just outside Armacao just off the roundabout near the Paint Warehouse Barbot, turn right up the hill just after the roundabout that is further up from the Campsite, follow the road round to the right and then as you go up the hill, there is a Large White Unit on the hill on the right. Hiya,

Just a note to say many thanks for the lovely delivery of smoked goods that we received yesterday.

It was a wonderful surprise to receive after a trip to Warwickshire where Richard was judging at the Royal Dairy Event at Stoneleigh.
I have put it away to eat for a special evening soon.
Many thanks it all looks very delicious and what a wonderful assortment. Perhaps the smoked beetroot to add to your array of smoking might be a might too far or not!!!!

Hi suziebear how exciting - we live in Torre- no one ever knows where we are and now you've put Torre on the map. We will certainly be looking out for you and we love smoked salmon. Can we buy direct from the Fumeiro ?

Decied not too wait for friends and dived in for lunch today. Absolutely fab, Richard loved the smoked aligator and I love the smoked cheese and the smoked brie.

The rest we have left for the special day.

Glad you loved the produce Baggysallyjane, it is rather special isn´t it.... Tried some of hubbys smoked duck breast last night, absolutely beautiful, melted in the mouth. I agree with you too, the cheese is just so unique.

Ellen - yes you can buy straight from Fumeiro, at the moment, we are opening 10am - 1pm, Monday to Saturday, as John is out on the road and smoking the produce on his own at the moment. Plus, Johnathon at Blue Rocks sells our produce too, dont quite know what he has left though.
