Whatever makes you bloody Spider I don't think it's Canadians, boned fish or starving children. You come over as a bit of an inadequate, always craving attention. Pleased to see you're not really pushing anyone's buttons too much any more. People simply ignore you, as they would a spoilt child (which I imagine you were).

Well I didn't know that either Digs...and I've sampled the humble dourada at Colombos ..it came filleted..digger wrote:it may sound like a lot of pretentious old cobblers to you e/s but it’s just another name for the humble dourada …. isn’t it?
anyway, like patwab, I’m half Portuguese (sort of) and that’s that way to go
it was 'baked' in foil..with fresh vegetables and was really good
Can you tell me please..what is 'Cherne'? (fish)..I've eaten that but don't know the English equivalent?

Dear Hugh Big mouth(sorry, arse) no not spoilt, not inadequete just can't stand some of the snot gobblers that infect this site.I get the impression that you may have left to long at the breast when you were a real baby.
I don't get many answers to my postings because I touch sore points, and apart from the crap sent by your ilk I quite enjoy touching the occasional raw nerve. As for my upbring you couldn't last with some of the hardship my family had to endure, I think thats mainly the reason I get wound up by some the pretentious farts who want bones fillited from fish or would probably like food partially chewed for them so the have more time to talk than chew. I only hope that the waiters who have to put up with you wining tossers, accidentally sneeze before delivering lovely plates of grub to the undeserving. By the way, Ill be back

Well, yes, I do enjoy "wining" when dining in Portugal.
Nothing better than a good red "reserva"!
I must say that this thread has turned into a delightful education.
Must try the bream on the bone at the Jardim next time. Sigh! (My wife thinks I'm silly not to try fish with bones anyway. Might improve my macho factor with her.
)
But I'll toss my shrimp tails to you eco.
