I’ve never paid a deposit on car hire, nor, as far as I know, is it common practice for hire companies to ask for one.

You neednt pay a deposit when you hire a car, if they have your credit card details they can deduct it from there.

you have to watch any of the sun tan and after sun lotions that are orange based and also the ones that go on 1 colur then go cler, all can leave stain marks on clothes ben linen etc..

That is what you sign off on the contract, it should stipulate the excess due in case of damage. With that and the credit card details, you have given them authority.
