Airline catering

How long would it take Roy4Eyes to fly his plane from say Manston Kent to Portimão - com ou sem comida! Serious enquiry!

Agree about the meals on short haul flights but I would love more to drink, tea-coffee water-juice, gone are the days when as soon as you had reached the a certain altitude the drinks trolley would appear. Its bottled water and juice packs all round for us and thats flying T.A.P., or BA. Lizzieh

Biffa - speaking from experience, the in-flight catering on Roy's flights is non-existent and the drinks cart didn't come around once!

We are using RyanAir for first time next week, for our first trip ever to Ireland. The flight from Humberside to Dublin is just one hour and I think we can manage without catering for that short hop

Son used RyanAir for his flight to Pisa (for Florence) and he said it was fine. Like Craig, J is a 6ft-4, but he was okay and said he enjoyed a hot sandwich (eh?

,who with one asks oneself?) ..probably mean't a toasty and a large cuppa rosy

HAve used Ryan air a few times and they have offered HOT bacon Rolls for sale. P:ace order early in flight and served up with coffee. GREAT.

Hi all,
just returned on Monday 1st May from Faro with Thomsonfly to sleepy Bournemouth. We left Faro ahead of schedule and landed at BOH bang on time. it's quite pleasant flying back to a small "provincial" airport.

With regard to seat pitch, it really does not matter what type of aircraft the airline is operating. It is the airline that decides how close together the seats are bolted to the floor. I think the fueslage width on the Airbus A320 series (GB airways for example) is slightly wider than the Boeing 737 etc but usually it is the seat pitch that we all moan about. Luckily little old me is only 5'9" so I can cope with 2 1/2 hours in 30" seat pitch.

Of course long haul really is a different kettle of fish ! .....that's when I really become a travel snob !!!

My Nanna had a gentleman caller who was in his mid sixties and who she informed me was a virgin - "blimey" I said (or words to that effect!).
