Dear Maddi,
I quote:
"For some of us, it is not about actually doing something but the joy in knowing that we could "
I agree, sometimes we do not need to 'answer the call'. However remaining passive in one's actions might not allways be the wisest thing to do. What if you could make your dreams come true if you ,in some occasions, would do what you want to do? Well after all it is important to stick to whatever your heart tells you regarding given circumstances. ........being the author of your own life, not the reader......
that's important to me. Indeed sometimes you do not need to 'answer the call'.
Dear Swingdingin,
Does Steen pay you well and if so are there currently any vacancies>???
lol.

Never "passive" but always thoughtful, considered - then if it is right - go for it with every ounce of energy, drive and determination you can muster - if it is wrong, then notch it up to experience and make a proactive decision to it differently next time . . . but never passive, otherwise the world and life will simply pass you by.

. . . and if she brings a smile to your face, a warmth to your heart and a stirring to your loins, then she will be worth every penny and more . . . and if she can do that when you are sat at work, two thousand miles away on a cold winters day - then she is pricelessAah but Rob....£49 is only the start of it......add another £40 for the taxi....
...£60 for the inevitable romantic meal....and think of the dry cleaning bill for that silly white suit you decided to wear....suppose there`s always mastercard..

to Rob: "I don't think we are talking about the same girl here as the waitress I am talking about told me she is Portuguese"
Oops, my sincere apologies Rob
to Maddi: "I am guessing that you haven't paid to advertise on this site, and therefore it would be unfair to those who have to use the forum as a platform for free advertising . . . "
The URL of my site was typed in by somebody else, not me. Cannot think of any reason to pay for that, can you?

Absolutely not Rob - you are quite correct, although I think you then said "Steen had blocked it for some reason", I had read that as you not knowing what that reason might be and took the time and effort to let you know why I understand url's are blocked.
My mistake if you knew all along, although I think if you read your post again you will understand why I thought you appeared to be in the dark.

Rob,
you blew it ,all the great advice ,thoughts feelings sensesand romantic illusion refered to in the last couple of posts are as nothing to you.The nano second that you walked out of that restraunt you were lost. The time was then ,time is like the water of the river your either a rock or a part of it.You swapped a huge life changing adventure for a cheap flight to blackpool or scumthorpe or hackballscross or anywhare that this girl wasn,t.So what if you hadn,t caught the plane and you had to sleep rough in the doorway for nights on end. Nobody,s died of discomfort yet.You should have spent that night lying in her arms listening to the waves make toward the pebbled shoreor in intensive care listening to your vital signs monitor after her husband has decided that his wife is not to be picked up life a common street walker by that english git at table no 5.
