Hey, that sounds the ideal answer, if mosquitoes don't like the smell of whisky, fill the swimmimg pool up with it, bliss :wink:

In answer to your original question Bruxy... there were bloody loads of them! Most of them munching on my arms :roll:

Don't really know about Marmite or Whiskey, but here is some slightly more "scientific" advice on avoiding the worst of the bites. There is a useful list of what attracts mosquitos, and thus should be avoided. I particularly liked the bit that suggests you should do less exercise. Apparently mozzies are attracted by Carbon Dioxide and Lactic acids, both of which are increased when you exercise :D
