our little train

Post by tee hee »

I have lived in Carvoeiro for two years and had never taken my son on the train. He has driven me nuts , finally last week I took him on it ( he is 8 ). The driver said it would take 20 mins , in fact it was nearer half an hour , and i can honestly say I havent laughed that much in ages. My son insisted on sitting at the back , and shouting , hello to the english , ola to the portuguese and his version of guten tag ( apologies about spelling ) to the dutch and Germans. People , smiled , waved and giggled. I was bounced , and jiggled over lumps and bumps , and laughed so much I got the hic cups. His sense of fun pulled me in and i ended up waving and laughing. My ribs , jaw ( and my boobs ) , ached , but I had such a laugh for 3 euros. So dont knock it you old devils , try it and feel like an 8 year old again. Thanks to the bus company it was great only problem is my son wants to do it all the time now.
