Whinging Pomes

I think we all know what whinging means, and I can understand why the Aussies call the Brits whingers…… (but the aussies don’t have a full understanding of irony)

And Pomes (my dict. Spells it pom) an Aussie years ago told me P. O. M. E. stands for ‘prisoner of mother England’ ….they were convicts of course but they loved it there and regarded those left behind in England to be the prisoners!
