Yeah, lets hear it for the Portuguese workman (plumber/electrician/carpenter) sometimes late, sometimes they don’t turn up at all!……but when they do, they are a joy to work with. I sometimes can’t believe how much they charge, but the price is always agreed in advance, and when the job is done I’m always in one of my over-generous moods, so they get a decent tip on top. :P

You never know how things are going to go, but I can't understand why someone would go to Portugal, lovely as it is, to DO something.

No offence, but from what I saw when I was there and what I've heard here, Doing Something is an unknown concept.

Before everyone gets upset...Austin is the same way. If you want to do more than scrape by playing music, you have to leave town and go to LA, NYC, or Nashville.

Sooooo, Falcon, Please show me where I am wrong.....and I would love to be wrong on this.

Cowboy, I feel in any country where there is a lack of "things to do" there is a huge opportunity to provide things for people to do. It is difficult to talk in such general terms but generally the techniques and way of doing things over here are rather inefficient.

The opportunites are to provide better, faster and cheaper services than those on offer. Someone said to me once "all you have to do in the Algarve is wake up early and you are ahead of your competition".

What gives you the right, guest, to dictate what members should post, and what gives me the right to even post this response
