Do not think any of these shops are British,
Primark - Irish, H&M- Scandinavian, McDonalds- American :o

As long as the prices are Portuguese I will be happy, :D usually the stores here sell products cheaper than those in the Uk for the same item, eg Zara, Mango
You beat me to it 8)

Went to Primarni with my sister while she was here & the prices here are more expensive than in the UK, same in Hennies (now H & M)
so no good for visitors, still it's cheap enough for residents.

I went there on easter Saturday in the rain having just arrived from the UK as a friend was keen to go and had been kicking her heels already for a week in the rain in cvo. It was quite busy due to the weather - mainly Portuguese shoppers.

I bought a cheap panama hat in Primark which has survived quite a bit of wear, attack by 2 nephews, a Julie Statham walk on the west coast and is one of the hats in Geoff's walk photos. Was worth the trip for the hat alone.

We had a coffee in a small cafe (more of a stall) and they struggled to cope with demand - a long queue and quite a few Spaniards there too.
