I am going out soon. Help Please!
Tracy, did you not visit Le Bot, Jailhouse, any of the numerous bars that have live music, quizes etc that all seem to go onto very early hours of the morning. Did you not visit Mistrals on a Monday for the Brazilian dane band to enjoy along with a mighty fine dinner. Did you not go to Cafe Englis in Silves for their great jazz session after lunch on a Sunday etc. God did you have blinkered eyes and miss so much that happens in and around CVO.
I have been going to Carvoeiro since the mid 80's and never tire of the place. It may be that we stay at Rocha Brava and not in the centre - but why people are saying that it is 'boring' is beyond me! Thank goodness it is not like Praia de Rocha - the Portuguese Benidorm.

I may be accused of being elitist, or something else-ist, but I have no problem with certain interest groups or those seeking la-dolce-vita, Benidorm style finding Carvoeiro not to their taste.
I suspect that those of us that love the place , do so, because of the very factors that these people find lacking.
Those of us who have bought, or rent ,villas and apartments every year in the area do so because of that special Carvoeiro thing.
Except for special match occasions we never see replica football shirts stretched over overweight tatooed bodies.
We dont get loud mouthed yobbos (Ok...when me and Pato and the Cranes arent there
)
That, along with the scenery, was what attracted Julia and I there, and , I'm glad to say, the vast majority of us on this forum.
