Well at the rate we're going it's going to be an empire anyway so might as well have the biggest bestest flashiest shop front.

Dont wish to put a dampener on proceedings..but I hope its livelier than this when the sandwich bar opens.....village was somewhat dead last night....by time I went for drink at Colombos (about 9.30 I believe)...very few diners or at bar and Smilers nigh empty!
But I do wish you luck with your venture girls/boys :)

`tis a bit off season now ellie! however your heart warming presence could well benefit the shop to be! mayhaps thunderbolt could accomodate you with a more permanent presence in the ol town of CVO to ensure a more steady flow of clientele!

I'll try my best!

I'm going off on a reconnaissance tour in a few weeks. Couple of days in CVO should keep me going until New Year.

 I dont know about thunderbolts view, but I would have thought that the type of sanwich/juice bar we are talking about, well back on page one we were, would probably be open from early morning to catch the breakfast people and through lunchtime to teatime (what a lovely English word) about 5.30. Leaving the evening trade to the bars and restaurants. There is no way a sandwich bar can compete in the evenings. Therefore you would be aming at the casual lunchtime trade more than anything else.
What do you think thunderbolt?

Lesley I agree with you the timing is perfect you would catch those who wanted a late afternoon snack before a late dinner.

Having been in CVO i noticed that either you are at the top of the foodchain to make good money or workk ur butt off to keep yourselve alive. One thing is for sure, constructors in the algarve make goooooodd money. Wages and materials are cheap but the houseprices are HIGH! Figure it out urself....who gets all this money? 8)

Oh thanks el colonel but I definitely do NOT want any marmite. Have tasted it and find it positively vile.

However, am willing to bring some over with me in a couple of weeks if anyone wants some.
