Motor Scooter hire or buy

As we come out to Carvoeiro a few times each year I was wondering about a small scooter as an alternative to hiring a car. Initially to hire but if it works out ok maybe buy a second-hand one. Are there any websites that would help? Thanks.

I have asked this question in the past with not much joy. You can hire scooters in CVO but it can work out as expensive as a car. There is a second hand scooter shop in Feragudo also quite expensive foe second hand. I do not know where you can get new ones which would be my prefered option. Just remembered there is also a shop left hand side as you go into Lagoa so you try there.

Thanks, I see there's a nice HD on offer. Wonder if I could swing that one past SWMBO? I have been tempted to maybe look at something a bit bigger in the UK and ride it down. One of the attractions of two-wheels is ease of parking in the summer.
