I'm bored. The weather here in Deepest Dorset is wet n windy.
The web cam piccy 4 C, looks sunny & would much prefer 2 be there than here. So its about time some witty ass did an interesting thread start up. Preferably something new to reign in either the end of 2006 or beginning of 2007. I would but I am not as witty as some of you jolly rodgers out there.!!1 Go 4 it & surprise the pants of us

Thinking of Tunsia in June - would appreciate any comments!
We had a week in Port el Kantaoui in late October and it was excellent. Believe everything they tell you about the shopkeepers in Sousse you have to be very very hard nosed. That said, it's well worth the visit. The museums are good as well. If you are planning two weeks, then the overnight desert safari had rave reviews.
The locals in Port el Kantaoui are great fun. Really friendly but they play the game offering to buy the missus for 20 camels etc. The thing is, these young lads are very well educated, speaking several languages and working the resorts is lucrative for them.
Stick to horse-drawn transport wherever possible. The taxi drivers are maniacs.
Happy New Year Tricky and to all members both in Carvoeiro/Algarve and here in UK....I hope its a healthy, luvly, jubbly one for you all!
Fireworks party here tonight ( neighbour), so will be letting 2007 in with a bang!
Cheers and may your dingle never dangle

Can´t think of an interesting thread but to Heini I would say "bring your summer wear" - today was so hot that father-in-law who is staying with us had to move indoors at 3 o´clock because it was too hot - shade 21c and on his chair 39c
We returned from CVO last Thursday having had a truly superb Christmas break and enjoyed an excellent Christmas lunch on the terrace at Rascals on Christmas Day thanks to Rachel and Sergio.
Most of the days were sunny and the temperature exceeded 25C on our terrace. It was great.
Hi tomgibson, we were there too, wasn't it just lovely,
(Gary and Gaynor and our two boys), hopefully Chritmas 2007, same time, same place....
Looking forward to our CVO trip in April.
Happy New Year to all.

Well hello there, yes I remember, great afternoon and hopefully we will bump into you guys again. We are next out in April, then again in May as we have an apartment in CVO. New Year greetings to the family from a wet and windy Holland....

We cannot wait now until August for our next break at Rocha Brava - also look forward to having Christmas out there this year to! We will have to decide where to have Christmas lunch though - last time we were there for Xmas we went to the O'Farol restaurant on the Rocha Brava site.
If i do recall we met Tom's son in the Tropical Bar on an extremely wet night (both inside and outside) - probably about 5 years ago.
