When you go through the booking procedure there's an orange button "ADD SPEEDY BOARDING" at the bottom.

One of the places is when you log-in and check your existing bookings, then it will offer you the chance to purchase speedy booking and/or print your boarding card (*).

I think it also offers you this when you actually make your booking.

The price varies from £2.50 to £7.50 depending on a bunch of things (how far in advance, how heavily booked, etc.).

(*) Have you noticed that when you print your boarding card (only useful if you do not have checked baggage), then you are in the lowest priority group for boarding. Strange.... this kind of discourages one from saving THEM all the extra burden of personal check-in.

easy jet are currently getting rid of all the winter flights in their sale so i would think that the summer flights should be going on sale anytime from this week end onwards. Previously provincial airports have been on sale before the three london airports but they may change things this time to confuse everybody

I looked at this 'Speedy boarding' but if you actually read it you are put into boarding group C, which is the group third to board so you will be in the next 90 people to board. Not so speedy then.........

We do use Easy Jet most of the time as it is convenient for us from Bristol airport, Flybe from Exeter does not fly every day nor does the flights from Bournemouth so Bristol is the better one for us.

You pay your money and get the goods you pay for. It is just like travelling in a bus to Portugal but quicker. As it only takes two and a bit hours I don't see the problem.

Must admit for our summer hold in Portugal we do use BA from Gatwick as we use up airmiles earned with all the travelling my other half does.

Speedy Boarding is available as you book and also for previous bookings. If you have already booked go to your account and click on the reservation and it will give you a chance to add speedy boarding

The price is £2.50 if you coach to the plane because no one can guaraantee you will be first off the coach. The £7.50 is when it is always a walk to the plane and gate staff can control it.

There are 20 Speeedy Boarding places and you get on first; before group A If you check in online the letters SB appear on your boarding card rather than a "group" I assume the same thing happens if you check in at a kiosk or desk.

On line check in is hand bagage only but as far as I know anyone can do Speedy Boarding

after travelling with Ryanair I much prefer EJ out of the two who cares about the boarding rush you still get a seat and always next to each other, a bit more leg room it seems to me than Ryanair. Iam not a airline snob but do like a bit of a bargain.

by the way what's TAP airline like to travel with our freinds are using them at christmas from gatwick.

Sorry I have now looked at the site again.... properly and yes you can do Speedy boarding, we are traveling this week and it would cost us £10. But to be honest I don't think it is worth it at this time of the year, the plane is usually only 2/3 - 3/4 full at most.

First the good news: When flying in to Faro, TAP get first pick of the few jetways, so one rartely has to catch that miserable bus.

The bad side: Their seats seem to have extra thick padding and fancy leather. Sounds and looks good, but reduces legroom. They do pack us in tight.

Food and service pretty good.

When I didn't have to pay for flights I always tried to go with the airline of the destination country. They always get the best parking space.

I like flying TAP good service etc. BUT have just booked flights on EJ from Stansted to Faro, out early Fri back mid morning Monday for £40 inc. I'll take my chances!

If you are in an area that has access to many airlines then you are able to choose who you fly with. Living here in Somerset the only local option really is Easyjet. If we want to fly with a 'proper' airline we would have to drive to Gatwick which is a real pain for us, especially as it means such a long journey for us.

WE too living in somerset always use EJ ( Bristol ). we have looked at Flybe from exeter and Thomson from Bournmouth on the basis of the " cheaper " lead in price but when taxes, charges etc added EJ always works out to be cheaper.
Have not yet tried the charter airlines who do sell seats but of course times are much less flexible

We live just north of Worcester and have chosen EJ from Bristol for the next two trips. Mainly because other family members live in Bristol/Weston but also the price is a lot better.
