You have obviously never lived near an International Kart Track ( Not Almansil Fun Kart type but a FAA/CIK track )

The intention is to have the Kart track up and running early on as this generates a lot of income from 'Tourist and corporate racing' and also to have the track open 365 days a year for Int kart practice and race meetings at least twice a month. Whilst it is true to say that latter day Karting is now strictly controlled and is now almost all 4 stroke...it can still be very noisy for those that live nearby as 100cc engines rev nowdays to 25K rpm....when you add this to all the other racing you have mentioned.......we dont have to worry about F1 ....Anyway I hope to attend the Monday evening talk by the MD of the Track ( 50:50 if I can make it) and will report back.....should be interesting....

Oh it is a kart track then is it? For tourists? I don't think they will be having engines that rev very close to 25k

What I said was that IF they do manage to build a track ( And I have great doubts too ) then phase one is already set for the International Kart track ( I Can't wait ! ) . These engines easily exceed 25Krpm and are extremely noisy. Go to any of the tracks near Lisbon any day and you can hear the noise a very long way away. Tourist (Fun Karts) are not a noise threat.

Well on that I'll sign off on this subject until (If) we hear something firm ....and continue building my house...which just happens to be in Alcacar .
