once upon a time on a island far far away.....
once upon a time on a island far far away.....
there lived surviors from a shipwreck...the survivors were of mixed nationalties....they were marrooend on this desert island for many years..then per chance a passing ship found them.
So a relief party was sent to the island to round up all the various survivors and take them home
In one part of the island they found the Germans..they had built a large autobahn...some engineering shops and had everything yar just so....
the French were found next ..they had opened several resturants and cafes and applied to the EU for funding (sent via a message in a bottle)
next was the Italians ..their part of the island was controlled by a elderly man they called THE DON...he had built several farms and controlled all the olive oil production...if you didnt like it well ..tough...its nothing personal strictly business...
Next was the English..they had done absolutely nothing as they were waiting to be introduced..
The Portuguese were next..they also had done nothing as they were waiting for the licence for the public notary to be approved from Lisboa (they had sent by registered letter bottle...but that was several years ago.....eh normalll they were told...calma.. ) but wait for it.....once built and opened they could then apply for a licence to open a bbq and some coffee bars.
so they were rescued and went home.....and all lived happily ever after.

and when they arrived home, the portuguese went to the local camara and go their licences which they has applied for before setting sail many years before and went to a little seaside place called Carvoiero and opened hundreds of coffee bars and cafes and they all lived happily ever after.
you see having being marrooned they learned the value of waiting...to think if that pesky fellow Columbus had just waited a bit longer for his explorers licence instead of nipping over to spain (where he got it straight away)..then the whole of s america would have been portuguese...

Martin,
Do you think that some surviors on the island came from Silves Camara and thats why those in this area have had such long waits for even a reply?
Thanks for the additional.
By the way any good at poetry? See Magic & Fun. I am stuck to find an ending?

Sorry forgot to Sign in. Nightrider....
No GUEST you have got it wrong not staff but FAMILY
(but then you will no doubt agree it is far from a laughing matter)..."the family" I have no doubt also in other departments in and around said area
Maybe we should start a poll for the "Top of the League of Non-peformance of all Camarâs in the Algarve". No--- correction ----of non-performance to some, which more often than not appears to be "if your face does not fit" etc etc etc
What Camara do you think would win hands down...... Planet S of course.
