hi leigh
we were there the week after easter this year, and the weather was great, apart from one morning......though i dont think it had been great the week before....
i suppose the chances are it will always be better than back home.
as for restaurants and bars....they were all open but not overly busy
i think its a nice time of the year to go

Hi Leigh
We were up the road in Spain (shh!) the week after Easter this year, and I wouldn't have said the weather was great, we only had one rainy day and the sun did shine, but you needed to put your fleece on to sit round the pool (hence Goa, an ex-Portugese colony, next Easter)
It all depends what you are after - if is simply a change of scenary, a break from your everyday lives, in a place that you know and love then cvo has it all, at any and every time of the year.

repeat
Having lived there all year round for a few years I can say "ditto" to Maddis words.
I well remember a slight disappoinment our first April there when we had few days light rain--you see,we had arrived in early February and been spoilt by beautiful sunny weather, with breakfast outside each morning, and the"bonus" of the of Algarves wonderful early spring --wild flowers and almond blossom every where!
To me,that early time of year and probably September are the best times to visit.
Regarding "Pascoa"/Easter time you will have to chance weather conditions--but as said before--its bound to be better than in UK --and at least the rain is warmer!
Whichever time you choose,Im sure youll have a wonderful vacation, Elle.

That's just it Elle, it wasn't this year - absolutely convinced I was going away for the change of scenary and came home to find myself irritated that people in the UK had been basking in higher temps, sunbathing on the beaches, bbq every evening - could work out from the fact that it irritated me that next year I shall seek the sun at that time.its bound to be better than in UK
My advice . . . be sure that the weather doesn't matter (who cares if it rains on a city trip to Berlin in November!!) . . . then as I said before CVO in April will be wonderful.
