Villa agency
Hi all
They were letting my villa for me, I have always had doubts in the manner they dictate to villa owners and what they require.

If I recall correctly, the last time the somebody had a complaint about VA they wanted to plaster all over a public forum, they received a comprehensive response from VA addressing the problem.
My question would be:
If you don't like the way they talk to you, why don't you just change to another agency rather than firing away at them in this manner?

Oh dear!
Here we go again......
Clearly we have enemies (and a lot of friends, too) but it's puzzling how we can possibly answer this sort of silly and unspecified slagging off!
If anyone has an issue, then please call Karen or Patrick at The Villa Agency on 01273 747811 or email mail@thevillaagency.co.uk
At least, we have the courage to publish our names.

Surely the point of a public forum is to pass on information, if someone wants to give an opinion that might help other property owners what is wrong with that? When someone has a bad experience at a particular restaraunt do you not let them post a bad review?
Has any one said anything derogatory here?
I don't remember the last thread getting nasty or a reply from the villa Agency, as its been wiped no one can read their "comprehensive reply".
I had issues with the Villa Agency which they would never contact me to address but they managed to contact the moderator to get the thread deleted, strange priorities I think.
Maybe if the person who started this thread had read the deleted messages they would have weighed up the information and have never let through the VA in the first place.

Not derrogatory?Jay C wrote:The Villa agency........... What can I say??????
Absolute Rubbish
The previous dispute was also a deliberate attempt to harm the reputation of VA. The overall content of the thread was largely attempts to do damage rather than to exchange opinions or seek advice. That is why the thread was deleted after a month or so.
Taking into consideration, that the rental market is the toughest it has ever been, I have to assume that there is a possibility of this not being a legitimate complaint, but rather an attempt to harm the competition in a very undiplomatic manner.
As you can imagine, it is often hard to distinguish between a legitimate review and somebody venting their anger or attempting to do some damage. It is preferable to assume the latter and curb this behaviour rather than having to deal with possible legal implications.
This site ofers a complete set of tools to its registered users to communicate in private and discuss possibly sensitive matters off the public board.

I take on board and agree with most what you say Mr G,but I would hazard a guess that the VA would not object if there was heaps of positive feeback posted here, and should therefore also be prepared to take the rough side of the deal.

Hi Gazza,
constructive criticism is normally welcome by anybody with half a brain, as it is a real chance to improve a product or service. I am sure in this case it would be no different.
Even a well founded personal opinion would not be out of place. Unfortunatly, people don't seem to be taking the time to write these.
Instead we always see the "what a load of crap", "didnt like it" or even "so-and-so is the bestest in the world and I love it" comments.

Constructive feedback on anything to do with villa management/agencies would presumably be useful to many people on this forum.
However, the comment " absolute rubbish" doesn't tell us anything without factual info to back this opinion up and is therefore not fair to the subject of that opinion, nor is it useful to anyone else.
So carry on Mr G - you're doing a great job !

I'd like to add my support to G. and also to Karen & Patrick for the way this has been handled.
IMHO, if the original complaint had been phrased in a way that expressed as a question like "am I the only one to suffer..." then this may be a reasonable way to post on a public forum, but again, one hopes only after a 1:1 communication has failed to resolve the issue.
p.s. I am not associated with, nor a customer of VA
