Horse riding in cvo

Can any one please tell me anything about horse riding in cvo. I have seen advertising for a riding club near cvo has anyone used the riding club? can you tell me anything about it? I am coming out with my 13yr old daughter in august and she would like to try horse riding, she has only done it once before so is a complete novice, does any one know what prices they charge , do they supply riding hats?

Hi, I have ridden with the yard opposite the Internation school, run by a lovely Portuguese girl called Gill, who speaks really good English, she rides around the Lombos area ( between Internation School N125 and Benagil) she has really nice horses and ponies, and takes novice or experienced. Costs about 30 euros for a ride of about 1 - 1 1/2 hours.

Try her she is quite good.

I would recommend Gill's International riding school, my husband and son both enjoyed their hospitality, especially my husband!!!!,was invited along for an advanced trek, later on that week.
He assures me that the attraction was the horse!!!
Who am I to disbelieve???
Thhat does not look right, have I spelt it correctly???
Anyway, comes highly recommended, have ridden many horses worldwide, not one of them mine!! verdict-not bad at all!!
Have a wonderful ride/trek whatever, well worth the money.

I have just found a website for Gill's horseriding centre and it looks very good. We will try it in August when we are there.

Hiya,

Yep just want to add to that - I ride there when I can when I go out there. Although it is pretty pricey (when I used to ride a few years ago, in the UK an hour's hack would be £15 at the most), she gets lots of tourists so can manage to put her prices up. Having said that yes is very nice lady, horses are lovely if slightly dull, although I did once ride Black the stallion who was a bit of a handful (don't worry there are small 'schoolmaster' [very calm and slow] ponies who Gill will put your novice daughter on - only experienced riders ride the bigger horses). Rides are good but when you go often it gets a bit dull as you know exactly where you are going to go. Gill will be lovely with novices though. Have fun.
