Travel from Carvoeiro to Lisbon
We will do our best to be as organised as possible before we head for Lisbon. If Ibis is booked, then we can always stop at a pensao or something - it doesn't have to be posh. However, we will book as soon as it's established for how many people as I don't fancy being stranded on a street in Lisbon. It'll all be okay.
The most important thing is that we all (ten of us) will get to the airport over here and then over to Portugal in one piece. After that we can start making plans.

Hi Michaela,
I'm portuguese and I work at Lisbon municipality which organizes the feast. I can give you some tips, better places to go, precautions, subway, hotels, etc.
Have you considered bus instead of train to come to Lisbon? It's a bit more expensive but more confortable, faster and direct to Lisbon, with no confusions with ferry.
It's the first time I come to carvoeiro.com, and I don't know if I can come tomorrow. You can reach me through my email if you want: carmomota@hotmail.com
Feel free to contact me.

Just a quick tip which may help your journey to Lisbon.
You will probably find the train line from Portimao to Tunes actually passes through Estombar, which is in the little village just past Slide & Spash (4 or 5 km away from Carvoeiro). It may save you having to travel all the way to Portimao or Silves to pick up a train.
You may need to check to be sure.
