No answer so far Aldo. I'd be interested to know too. The Barclays Bank up The Hill is now a minimarket, so as far as I know, there are just two cash machines down in the village. But I never have a car, so perhaps the money shop is a bit out of town.

The Money Shop are in the UK I'm afraid ,they have over 500 branches although perhaps not for much longer as the operate like Wonga (payday lenders ) and are on the brink of Administration . They also do foreign currency and are consistently better than all the others on our high street with only Ramsdens ( cash for gold) getting close . €1.3230 yesterday still heading in the right direction for me .

We have a Money Shop opposite a Ramsdens!! Which ever one has the highest rate, the other will match or maybe better depending on how much cash is being converted. 50 metres away is a currency only shop which we check out as well.

Today Money Shop 1.320, Ramsden 1.330, Currency shop 1.325 (lunchtime).

The BBC is currently showing the interbank rate, so tourist rates will be 3-4% lower, I expect. But with just over 4 weeks to our visit, the rates are looking good for UK visitors.

We're going on Tuesday and the best rate we've managed is €1.3842 against an Interbank rate at the time of the transaction being €1.4156. Compared to our last visit - this time last year when it was €1.1858 - that £197 will buy a meal or two at Primavera :D

Thanks alf. By chance, last night I followed a link on the main site and came across Casa Luiz. It looks just right - I must have walked past it dozens of times, but assumed the apartments were privately owned. I have emailed the management about availability in April, though no response yet. Hope I used the correct email address.
That apart it's right next to the cliffs if you get fed up.

Picked up the Euros today from M&S - 1.3485 to the £. Not quite as good as it has been, but much better than 5 years ago.

The weather in CVO seems to have been fairly unsettled recently. We arrive on the 16th, (French air control strikes permitting), so are hoping for more favourable conditions.

tradition has it that as soon as the poor bedraggled Easter Holiday makers go home the sun comes out & stays till October, so you'll be fine 8)

I'll second that, just back from a week and it lashed on Wednesday night after raining most of the day  . Very windy on Tuesday. As Sunman posts you will be fine.

Interesting that the BBC is predicting a high of 20C tomorrow (14th) where I live. Almost as warm as CVO. Of course, by Friday they are predicting a high of 12C.
