saw ahouse the other day...fairly old but the american owner when asked of they had heating said "no" because they had "passive solar energy"

this means in plain english the sun comes thru the windows and heats the room!!!!!

also saw another house..a uk electrical engineer has complete self suffiency in electrical power..no edp connection....uses solar panels wind etc...used BP panels ..cost about 12000 (for two houses) ..perhaps this is the answer for future energy needs
