Hospital or health centre

Hi, we are travelling in a couple of weeks. Our 6 yr old suffers from Diabetes and I was just wondering the location of a health centre or nearby hospital. Hopefully they wont be needed but just in case.

Hi,
There are several doctors in Carvoeiro.
the Chemists (pharmasists) here are highly trained and often able to help with minor things without a visit to the doctor.
Theres a health centre (centro do Saude in Lagoa - just follow the signs).
The nearest A&E is Portimao - easy to find 15 minutes drive, just follow the N125 towards Portimao and its clearly sign posted (hopital) fromthe road.

Don't forget your EHIC (UK reciprocal health card) just in case

There is also a Health Centre in Carvoeiro. Follow road up from Post Office on in road, past Ma-Jas , turning on your right just before top of hill. Health centre at the side of the school.
