Taxi from Faro to Carvoeiro

My other half arrived at Faro airport at about 11.00pm last night and was charged 96 euros for the journey to Carvoeiro by taxi. This does seem a tad high for the one way trip. Usually we pre-book a transfer and it is only a few euros more than this for a return trip. Is there a higher rate for late evening pick-ups at Faro?

Jacky we have been charged 90euros each way in the past and that was during the day.

Thanks Bruce. I will let him know. He thought maybe he was being ripped off but from what you say the price was ok. I think he will stick with the pre-booked transfer in future.

Using www.farotransfer.com or www.algarvedriver.com transfers to Carvoeiro cost;

57 euro one way or 114 euro for both ways for up to 4 pax, there is a 20% out of our charge between 22h and 7h - motorway tolls are included.

We pay 90 euros return with EasyGo direct from the airport to our rented apartment and they come there to pick us up on the return.

Standard fare one way from Faro to CVO by airport taxi is around 60 euros i believe.
