motorhome storage.
Re: motorhome storage.
what I meant was that when parking at a secluded beach/area that I much prefer one with camper vans (in use) than an empty car park.laserblazer wrote:I suspect anyone trying to enter the used car lots on the 125 would soon come face to face with cão dos baskervillesgiven the choice of parking in an empty/isolated car park

Quite right H, leave it to the expertsAitch wrote:I started nothing, I merely commented on what had gone before. I hope it works out for both of you. However, the slight deviation was a dig at the sponging so and soes, who park up for the winter, making the place look untidy and possibly helping themselves to local resources that have been paid for by the taxpayer. It was pointed out that we were sure the OP was not one of these, as he said, he felt he had a responsibility not to leave his van on the road. It was you who started to have a go at other members and making this far uglier than it needed to be.
Anyway, I've started a new thread viewtopic.php?f=27&t=22663.

Try Vacaria on the N124 between Silves and Messines, coming from Silves the turn is on the right just past the barragem turn, it also has a sign for The Curtain Factory. Don't know what he charges but do know he stores caravans and motorhomes.

Re: motorhome storage.
This is like deja vu - on 12th November 2010 I had the audacity to ask a question about motorhomes in CVO and received an unusual amount of replies, mostly negative and some quite offensive!! Merv's motorhome is 9mtrs long and most certainly NOT a campervan and like my own at 8.5mtrs is most likely his pride and joy. As such, I am sure Merv, like myself would not "wild camp" on a beach or by the road side or in a town's car park. I only ever use registered, official touring parks, usually paying more for the better facilities. There are some horror stories of miscreants ambushing motorhomes not on official sites so I would never park up in the middle of nowehere in a vehicle worth in excess of £50,000 !!
Finally, on the point of driving through the centre of CVO - if I was ever to bring my motorhome to CVO and knowing the area as well as I do, I would most certainly not drive into town. I see Merv's is staying ADM so can avoid the square.
Good luck Merv from a fellow motorhomer !!

Re: motorhome storage.
Dear Deidre,
I have met this beautiful girl and I'm very much in love but she has led a somewhat sheltered life. My father is currently doing 15 years for armed robbery and my mother runs a bordello. My two sisters work for my mother and spend most of their earnings on drugs, supplied to them by my younger brother.
The thing is, should I tell my girlfried that I have a motorhome?

Dear Laserblazer,
Please do tell your girlfriend about it she will forgive all your family's frailties when you tell her about the motorhome.
Happy motoring
Love Deidre

Dear Deidre,
That was a mistake. She's taken it and her mother has set her up in a mobile business, "squeals on wheels".

Re: motorhome storage.
Thankyou all
Both my wife and I have enjoyed your comments and have taken some of your advice.
Rest assured we will not be wild camping and the RV is safely tucked away. We now intend to enjoy this beautiful area.
Thanks again
Melvyn

Re: motorhome storage.
That's good news Melvyn. Perhaps we'll see you at a meet up. We will be out for a few days at half term.
Re: motorhome storage.
Hello Melvyn,
I have plenty of storage and space for long or short term for caravans and motorhomes, it's safe and secure in 3 acres of private grounds flood free and on hard surface, water and electric if you need it. I am about 40 minutes away from you, my email is linda.shack@hotmail.co.uk if you let me have a phone number I will give you a call. Regards--- Linda
