Once again..a very enjoyable read..thanks Nigel and more great photos too!

I must say that catamaran ferry ride sounds great fun!
I never been into this area at all ....Ilha Deserta?...
is this all the little islands and all part of the Ria Formosa Nature park?
or have I got that wrong

?
Is it expensive?
You have to book I presume?
Is it smooth sailing (Im not very good sailor

)

Go back to the home page and scroll down a bit. It will say August newsletter and then click on it.
If you read the home page you will also find other interesting things such as Ellie's stories

Hi for some reason the link from the home page to the newsletter doesn't seem to be working, but if you subscribe to it, using the link on the right hand side of the home page, you will be sent e-mails that will allow you to link right through.

Hi Ellie

You can't book - just turn up and wait for the boat at 10 am or 11,30 am. Boat holds 100 so usually no problem. 7 euros there and back deliberately priced to dissuade too many wanting to go they tell me!

Yes smooth ride as you are still within the sand bars although the actual beach faces open sea.

It is part of Ria Formosa and they do nature trips by boat as well as the straightforward ferry.

As my close friends will know I have simply given up drinking and eating and get up at 3 am each morning to slave over te keyboard!

Actually it is ghost written for me by Lord Archer and that is why it is such a load of ********
