Thanks again Ellie for your help.
The encouragement is great, just what I need really as it can all be very daunting (as I'm sure you're well aware).

Ill be only too pleased to help Debs :)
It reminds me of my time there...when we first got underway with the business....I used to take cards around...most of the little shops in Lagoa high street would display them...and few bars & rests. inCVO ..in fact anywhere we visited.
dont forget also...a lot of business comes about from 'word of mouth'... satisfied customers passing your name onto friends... i think most of ours came about this way.
We are probably going out for long stay in autumn..so if you have cards ready then ..you could send me some to pass onto a few business owners.. and some friends who live there..okay?...nite Ellie

Debs G,

Good luck with the business - I will definitely be one of your clients - I am going out to our villa with 3 of my girlfriends next week. Pity you are not in business now - we could had a beauty party - lots of treatments, wine etc.

Hope you post info on this site when you are up and running

Thanks Ellie that would be fantastic. I'm so grateful for all the support on here.

Susie - I would love to do a beauty party for you! I used to do the Body Shop parties and they were great fun! In fact I'm still an agent for them but I'm not working at all at the moment - time off with new baby.
Thanks, I will definitely be posting more when I'm getting the business up and running.

Hi, When Im in Carvoiero I always visit a beautician called Francessca she has a salon beside Zecco's ( I know that spelt wrong but I'm sure you will know what I mean!! ) She used to be based in the shopping centre beside Mungo's. 8)

She is lovely and I always come out feeling well and truely pampered!!

I'm a self-employed beautician and will be taking my business with me to the Algarve when we move later this year, so I'm hoping to build up some Clients for myself! I will be a mobile beautician, so I'll be able to visit my Clients wherever they are.
I probably ought to be looking into getting some advertising up and running for later on this year.

Hi Debs

What is the maximum you'll do at a time? My daughter's wedding is in Sept and there will be about 6 women wanting manicures. Is that too much for you?

Hi DebsG, will keep you in mind also as that would be great to have a mobile beautician. I use them every three months here in Holland, so will certainly keep an eye out for you. Good luck with the move..and the new baby.
