Hi guys,
Staying in Rocha Brava in June - was wondering what are the bars and resturants around the complex like?

Its great there aquane....we used to drive there to take a break after being busy (making kitchens etc)....I loved strolling around up there..wonderful air!
There are some decent restaurants there...we often had coffee in the coffee shop there.Theres also a little cafe just on the outside(cant recall its name)..where you can get a decent meal.

There are a few restaurants and bars within walking distance - all very nice according to your taste but quietish . you will find more life ,if that's what you want a short taxi ride into CVO itself. It's a lovely site which i am sure you will enjoy.

Is that the place that is beside a roundabout and was near our villa casa jorge pedro near benagil? if it is then we went there once to play tennis, was nice

Coming out of main entrance:

Turn RIGHT- Immediately on the right - Jardim Do Farol - V.Good family run restaurant

Walk to Club Atlantico (about 10 Minutes) - La Bella Vita - First Class Italian Restaurant, but expensive

Turn LEFT - O Raphael - Quite good, but slowish service - further on - Julios - Good and seats in very nice garden - quite expensive.

Within Rocha Brava - O Farol Restaurant - Very Good, middle priced - check menu prices

Far end of Rocha Brava - Good bar - Tropical (Helders)

Otherwise Short (6 Euro) trip into town or Benagil - See Restaurant reviews.

Think thats where we played tennis, my bf hit the ball too high and it hit the window of the restaurant and landed on the balcony

had to go in and ask one of the waiters for it, was very embarassing lol wont be taking him back there again!

Jeremy's post tells you most of what you need to know but I'd like to add a couple more. Bella Napoli restaurant next to Helder's Tropical Bar is good for reasonably priced Italian food, also does takeaway pizza.
Mona Lisa restaurant, on the left of the main road into Carvoeiro is our favourite for Italian food. It's just about walkable from Rocha Brava for less athletic people (like me!!)
Jardim do Farol, which Jeremy mentioned, is also one of our favourites, but be aware that it is one of many local restaurants which does not accept credit or debit cards. Booking is essential for this relatively small restaurant, and is probably advisable for the others as well.

Rocha Brava is one of the hidden delights of CVO. It is very safe and very quiet too if you just want to unwind and relax. It reminds me of Rockley Resort in Barbados but to a more convenient smaller scale.

There are a few restaurants around- you can't miss them.If you are not hiring a car then that tourist road train that goes into the main town passes by, and then you can sample the delights of the main restaurants!

Rocha Brava is a 5 minute walk from the lovely Centianes Beach.

There is a very good bar/restaurant down there called O Stop.

I did not think that you can get on or off the train, it just does a tourist round trip of Carvoeiro ??

EMM's right, the taxi drivers got together & stopped the train being able to make stops so you're a cab ride into town, which is actually quite cheap, around €4, walking's not out of it, 20 minutes, guests often walk down to build an appetite then taxi back.

Centiannes has a few restaurants and bars too, if you walk into RB at the main fish pond entrance and carry straight along that road you pass a parade of shops & restaurants, the road ends up going downhill to Centiannes beach.

I am over in June for a wedding - my wedding

in the Tivoli.

And then a bit of a honeymoon in Rocha Brava......this info will be really handy.
