Dog owners are a pest

Please don't generalise. I love my Dog, we go for long walks and I have a little Poo Bag holder if she is taken short, which enables me to pick up her deposit and place it in a suitable container. If I see a Dog fouling and it is not picked up I bring it to the attention of the owner, if they are with the animal. My Dog is chipped and registered, not like a lot of Dogs and I put this responsibility on the owners and general public if they are not strays. The only way to resolve the problem with stray Dogs is to report it to the Junta as suggested.

Roy, Sharen suggested (when we were there) that we keep a lookout for whomever is letting their dogs(s) foul the footpath, follow them home, and, then, once we'd established where they lived we'd scoop up the poo and deposit it in their driveway.

Twenty-odd years ago a guy let his dog poo outside my front gate most mornings. One morning I was leaving the house at the very moment the dog did it - as the guy left I scooped it up in a handful and said to the him, holding out my hand, "You've dropped something." His reaction was to hold out his hand to receive whatever and I deposited the dollop into his palm.

I went back in and washed my hands . . . . . and that was the last time his dog sh*t outside my house!

Absolute quality....I have to try this...the best we can offer is a young German chap letting his little terrier foul everyones gardens but his, he got his deposits back on his path and the dog is the pool...it never did it again...needless to say the chap wasnt best happy but there was no way I was taking a backward step, I smile everytime I see him..

We know who it is and elderly english lady or not next time we see her letting her dogs ***** in our road we will let her know how anti social her behaviour is.

Maybe she is even a reader of the forum and will get the message.

EMM, if it's the same woman (with two dogs, one black one cream) then I think she's French. She's been winding up my dad for years!

This lady had 3 dogs, 2 large ones and small itsy bitzy, but if she is french that explains it .
Any one who has been to Paris or any french holiday resort summer or winter will know that they have a very " relaxed " atitude to dog mess.

There were free dog poop bags around the centre last year but when the initial supply of bags was used up, the dispensers were never re-filled.
