Breasts

I breast fed all three of my children, but was absolutely disgusted when
having just started to feed my little girl in a quite corner of a pub/restaurant I was asked my the management to please go and feed in the ladies toilet!!! - would you eat your dinner in the toilet I asked?
My next two babies were twinss (which I also breastfed) but I'm afraid that is an impossible feat in public

when I am having a meal in a restaurant I don't need to look at a a naked breast from somebody opposite me. Nothing against breasts, but there is a time and place for everything. A toilet is not a very nice place to send someone, but I guess there are better places to find in a restaurant to breastfeed quietly.

In our so called modern society, Public breastfeeding can be seen as offensive I like to see it as nautural and to those who relate it to nudity, sexuality and inproper behaviour I'd say go and reconsider your life views please. In its struggle for survivbal the baby must eat................in this case drink mothers milk..................

I would say it comes down to that one-liner you say to people when they get their knickers in a twist over this kind of thing -
"What are you so pissed about, did your mother not breast feed you as a baby?"

Why does a modern society always strive to abolish normal, natural things for the sake of a few moral micreants (sp)? And why do societies use the most sordid excuses to do so? (religion is a great one for this, but I won't go there).

Would'nt it just be easier to accept that there are certain things that were just designed and meant to be that way?

Just my tuppense worth...theres a lovely young girl and her family that come into my pub most friday evenings ..their not irish ..after the birth of her last child she took to brestfeeding in the pub...its a small but very bright place with acres of green grass and hills around it..anyway the first time there were about five of us around the bar ....all middle aged men....and most of us were a bit embarresd..not offended..but just trying not to stare or say anything that could be taken up wrong..it took us a while to get used to the scenario but get used to it we did and so life goes on ....sorry im taking the long way around..been a tough weekend..did a pig roast in the pub..american idea and not for the faint hearted....but my point being maybe this is what new mothers are experencing ..ye know the way yid be feeling a bit vunerable and the oul hormones are all over the place..i know i was in a desprate state after the birth of my two, claire and aaron,...ye know just blokes (i presume its mainly blokes that tend to give attudide to this) not know knowing how to act in this scene ..most oul fellas my age don,t want to be thought of as lecherous, eyeing up young wans ,so you tend to go to the other extreme..i haven,t explained this very well but i hope yis get the jist..
