Lovely pictures Sandy, makes me wish I was there now instead of being in damp and miserable Stirling!

These are such fab pictures - how the sun and sea make a difference. Grey, dull and rather rubbish in Reading today another reason to win the lottery I think. Thanks for lovely pics.

Loved the pictures. I am trying to sort out a brief visit for March and these have spurred me on by reminding me what I'm missing, from an equally damp Reading.

I see my old mate there outside that delicious steak house restaurant.
Great photos.

Aye quine, Stirling although not always damp, it is miserable all of the time. Now if you go to ikea you get a better choice of furniture etc.Sharen Crane wrote:Lovely pictures Sandy, makes me wish I was there now instead of being in damp and miserable Stirling!

It certainly was a lovely day yesterday, we walked into the village for our weekly paper, coffee in the small place opposite Smilers ( E1.20 ). Watched the usual holiday maker traffic chaos, one driver trying to go the wrong way around the square. another parking a 9 seater minibus outside of the pharmacy , partially blocking the road much to the annoyance of a bus driver and others, moved when GNR arrived, Topped off by someone driving up the hill past Sullys.
All this within a 40 min period.
It not the design of the square that causes problems it is idiotic drivers.
Walked back an had lunch outside
on news this morning 45min delay in trains into Bristol, are we feeling smug !!!

The Tour D'Algarve cycle race came through yesterday and driving was interesting, as virtually every route on the Westside was closed. Had to use the satnav to find our way.

Another glorious spring day and along with the swifts/swallows, gold finches, spring flowers the GNR were also out enjoying the sunshine ticketing cars parked around the square.
Also for those who think that CVO is too middle class we spotted a cafe/bar on the out road advertising Donah Kebabs.
I kid you not ??

Another barmy day here, temperatures have certainly become warmer in the last few days.
GNR also seem to be having a bit of a purge on drink driving too at the moment.
The kebab place has been there sometime & they are open 'til about 2am I believe. It's Portuguese owned & I'm told the kebabs are quite good, not like the ones sold from vans in the UK.

Fabulous photos helped lift the gloom we are experiencing here in the Peak District again today.

Of course we usually stop at the kebab place on the way home from singing and dancing in Innside cafe until 4.00 in the morning. They are good although slightly different to what you would expect from the UK.
