Agreed EMM. I would guess that those parking up pretty much anywhere would not necessarily do so in The UK. They believe " we're abroad, the sun is shining, who'se going to stop us?".
Believe me, even in this country there is cause for complaint for "non" responsible motorhomers. That's why, as I say, I will pay more for a site to make sure I am with like minded people.
We FLY to CVO next year. Might have a look around while I am there. The motorhome is only a consideration for 2012. Thanks again.

Maybe I should not have called it crap, human waste products, urine and faeces would have been a better description.
Vanners were seen in Tavira pouring the contents of their chemical toilets into the public drains.
Where do the long term campers on ground around the beaches or reservoirs dispose of their c*** , sorry human waste products ??

Regarding EMM's comment about people emptying chemical toilets in drains, absolutely a no no. These people do true motorhomers no favours. As for those "pitching" on or around beaches, well, I'd rather not begin to imagine!!

Oh - OK - next time we get them in the car park behind our apartment and using our pool, I'll tell them that they are welcome to park on your drive and make use of your swimming facilities!!!! IN fact, do you mind if I join them?

Hi Lambi,
The wife and I don't have a motorhome but have always found it fun to see groups of them on what appears to be waste ground/free carparks,looking a bit like wagons in a circle from an old western movie
We've seen these groups in the area between Vilamoura and Quarteira , 50 yds from the beach.
The same at the very end of the same beach furthest from Villamorra harbor area.Where there's also a small restaurant/Bar.
To be honest, in the winter, often you'll find small groups of motorhomes all over the place in waste ground/free carparks.
People, who've driven from the freezing north of Europe to get those few hours of warm sun in the Algarve,each day, in the depths of winter, clustered together.
One very good camping/caravan park we've visited is "Camping Olhao" if it's a more of a "pool,bar and pitch with powerpoint" setup your after.
Not sure if this helps,just that you’ll find motorhomes all over the place, if you try to find them, in the winter in the Algarve.
