Media hype

Post by BobT »

Yes, there are a bunch of mindless morons who spoil the party for the rest of us, whenever they get the chance. It's not however unique to the English. Most countries have their yob element.

What seems to be unique, is the English Media's obsession with reporting all this crap on the front page. This just pours fuel on the fire, and feeds the hooligans egos. Of course the foreign media then pick up on what the english media, reports and starts anti English reporting itself. This is then read by the locals who then feel anti english and perhaps aren't as friendly as they would have been towards the English, which in turn may lead to a confrontation with beer fuelled yob and then the fireworks begin again.

So other than shooting the yobs (which is not a bad idea), how about shooting the irresponsible media.

And before any media types get on line and say, people want to read that crap. That's just a cop out.

The thing that we least miss about living in England is the depressing news that the media put out every day. Day in day out.
No other country in the world has a medai that is so negative about what is going on in their own country.

So to the Sport, Sun, Mirror, Mail, Express, Times, Telegraph and th rest, plus of course the BBC, ITV, SKY, etcc etc. Keep it up, and you won't have any Brits left to p**s off. They will have left a better life. One without the negative media.

OK that's got that off my chest.

Of course youve made me feel very guilty now Bob..after my quoting the mirror yesterday (what goes on the the mind of a footballer)...........
But have to agree witha lot of your words...and to be perfectly honest I hardly ever read a newspaper these days..and when in CVO dont bother at all (who wants to there anyway?).....and I love the 'esacpism' of it :)
When I lived in Algarve..I used to worry about..not worrying :? ..if you see what I mean? :)
By the way..H only buys the Mirror for the crossword :) ..Ive told him he'd be better off buying book of crosswords..but will he listen.....men! :x

……….I agree Gerry…….and Bob I agree with you too (cos I’m feeling v. agreeable this afternoon) it’s seems any ‘news’ re football hooligans at the moment is more important than the football itself……….. “booze fuelled scum” the hacks at the above-mentioned rags, that is……
ps….I bought a copy of the Mirror once…only for the crossword, you understand…
pps...I'll have a bootle of super bock.......cheers mate....
