Does anyone know of or have had dealings with a company called Vacations For You at Monte Carvoeiro? Click HERE for their web site. A friend of mine is deciding to use them or not and any feedback would be appreciated.

I read their website and its incredibly unclear what they offer. Seems like some sort of Timeshare management service ? Certainly not holiday rentals - or if it is, it's well hidden.

Same thoughts here - I use Monte CVO every time I come to CVO and I've never heard of them. Also, they have a very limited offering - CVO and what looks like the same company in Lanzarotte - not sure how they survive as a company.

Also, the website say they've been going for a year, yet had a tribute from 2007?

I think they refurbish the time-share appartments and try to sell you more weeks and/ or points to owners or other RCI-members and people who just spend their holidays in one of these appartments. They make a meeting every monday morning and try to "convince" you of the advantages of being a member of RCI etc. .. instead of leaving you having a peaceful holiday ...

VFY are actually in charge of selling the unowned weeks at Monte Carvoeiro along with others at Quinta da Lago, time share sales style apart they are knowledgeable in all aspects of time share ownership, resale and the legals behind it all...they sold one of my MC weeks for more than I paid for it so I have no complaints...the refurbed appartment at MC was funded by these guys as a show house for how the total refurb will look and yes they have a monday morning welcome meeting if you wish to attend you do if not you dont need to.

Hi,I do know VFY.They were based in Cornwall for 3 years prior to coming to Portugal.They have a very good name in the holiday ownership industry for turning resorts around that need refurbishing and selling them out.They have upgraded a unit at MC and the owners have agreed to now have the entire resort refurbished starting in December.They offer a sales and a resales service and also invite people out to spend a week at the resort to see if it is a place where you would like to invest into.They are not pushy at all, a very friendly team,I would recommend them to anyone wishing to stay on the resort.

I had a car woith the reg. VFY once. It was unreliable and expensive to run! I'm sure the above company bears no resemblance.

Why are they not listed at Companies House?

Why are they not listed at Companies House?

maybe they are not a limited company...maybe they are registered in Tenerife...doesnt affect the trading status of the company if they are not registered with CH

CH is one of the first ports of call in due dilligence. There are a lot of reasons why they may not be registered with CH, legitimate or otherwise.

I'm just asking why? Also, tjthedj asked Mugsy if it was their company - this has not been answered. Anyone at MC know about this refurbishment, and if VFY are involved?
