Tansport enquiries

Hi All, I Am coming to CVO ( Quinta do Paraiso) with the family in July for 2 weeks would it be beneficial to hire a car or is the local transport good enough ie taxies, buses etc.. to get around

It really depends on what you want to do.

Taxis are plentiful and relatively cheap for local trips, but if you want to explore further along the coast to lagos or sagres, or inland to silves, monchique you would probably be better hiring a car.

You could always get a taxi from the airport and just hire a car in the village for part of your stay.

I only really intend to play some golf and chill for a fortnight. I've since seen a bike hire perhaps if I can muster up some energy I could get the family out on one.

Hi Eddie,

Definitely recommend hiring a car. From our villa on QDP we can walk to town for shops, beaches, local restaurants but we use the car to go to golf, the main tennis club, the Intermarche, other beaches, restaurants and exploring the area etc. It would be a shame not to get to know the area a bit while you were there.
