Waterparks

Post by DP »

Afternoon,

Can anybody give any advice on which of the waterparks in the area are most suited to younger children (4 and 2) ?
Also are the likes of Krazyworld / Zoomarine worth a visit ?
Any other recommendations for the younger traveller much appreciated !

Many thanks,
DP.

Hi there,

Both waterparks are good for kids. They both have a kiddie area/smaller swimming pool with little slides and such.

I find zoomarine a good day out. The shows will definitely appeal to the kids. There is also a swimming pool there and other activities so it's a fun day out.

Krazygolf is another child friendly place. They have the gold courses, a pool, a petting zoo, go karting and such.

All of the above are good for kids and they will certainly have a good time.

DP - I second all of the above but if you want to go to the waterparks in peak season GO EARLY - that way you can bag a spot with shade by the kiddies pool since they fill up first - great place to get really good sunburn. Do bear in mind that apart from the kiddies pool with small slides etc their is not a lot else for very young children so it is probably not an all day job.

Your kids will love Krazyworld since they can actually get in amongst the goats, llamas and emu and feed them by hand - my four year old also loves the fun golf, bumber cars and Alligator show. Take plenty of 50 cent coins for the animal feed.

Zoomarine is another favourite of our 2 and 4 year old boys - again, it is a good idea to go early to miss all the coach parties and ques arriving at about 10:30.

If you are unlucky enough to get a rainy day, a visit to Algarve Shopping is good - they have a ten pin bowling alley with bumpers in the gutter so the kids can have a go along with a lot of other stuff.

Finally cannot resist mentioning Playoasis (I think they should pay me commission!) - lovely setting with indoor and outdoor play areas, air conditioned with bar! - good place to take kids whilst the wife has a rest, thus earning many brownie points.

PS Don't forget the fantastic beaches!

Great post Graham - many thanks.

Yeah, our boys are real early birds so getting somewhere before the crowds is never really a problem !

I'll certainly be trying most of these suggestions.

Thanks again.
