Avanti Passport Holiday Company - Scam or not?
Avanti Passport Holiday Company - Scam or not?
Has anyone heard of Avanti Passport Holiday Co. I filled out a form in Faro Airport on the way home last Jan and have now got a call to say I can stay in Portugal, Spain or Tenerife for 4 people for 99 Euro for a week - to book flights myself. I have investigated a little and they seem to be some kind of a timeshare company. Anyone else been contacted? Scam or not?

They and others have been operating at the airport for as many years as we have been visiting.
YES they are a timeshare company.

So long as you can resist the hard-sell, it might be worth going at that price.

Thanks for the replies - think I'll reject their offer.

You used to get a call from a company called Costa holidays - who sell time share. We went along to their place in Telford, suffered the 2 hr lecture and still couldnt make up our mind, so they gave us a week in Portugal as a test at a place just outside Albufeira! Strange thing was, when we landed at Faro we couldnt seem to find their travel desk, despite very clear instructions, or find their resort bus and had to go to our house in CVO instead!

Caron - yes they are a timeshare company and we got free flights and hotel in Villamoura for 2 nights from them. We had to look at some properties and listen to a 45 minute presentation and then disappeared to CVO. They weren't very happy when we told them we had bought elsewhere - after we got back.
