We have paid 70 euros for the past 3 summers, I suppose it depends who is on reception.
As for the divots etc , if you are a club member you will agree that one of the things that really ***** us off is the poor behaviour of many visiting golfers who do not replace divots or repair pitch marks.( Morgado gives out free pitch repair tools )
These are often the very same people who complain about the state of courses when much of the damage is down to them.
Some Algarve courses have containers of sand so that golfers can repair divots, clearly not always used as grass growing in them would testify.
Sorry for rant but when we see buggies on greens , being raced, carrying 4 or have to take 5hrs behind " holiday " golfers those who try to play this game properly do get a bit frustrated.

Couldn't agree more EMM......I went out behind our seniors in October and took there faces off when I got back in due to every green having fresh unrepaired pitchmarks! One even came back to me with 'I cannot get down to repair them' utter bullshit I told him,I have seen you put the tee in the ground and pick your ball out the hole!!

Jeez, you must be one unlucky golfer EMM, I have played all over the Algarve (mostly those close to Carvoeiro admittedly) and have never ever seen the like of which you describe 
. I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but that sort of behaviour is more akin to the pay and play parks in the UK.

Millenium, Gramacho , Pinta , Silves, Balaia ( drunken stag party, they were thrown off ). I think the mind set of some is " we have paid a lot for this so lets have fun, take as long as we like etc ".
