We have recently had a problem with the payment of bills to the EDP due to a mix up of bank account numbers which left us in the predicament of having to travel to Portugal to visit the offices in Portimao to pay a bill as you are not able to pay over the telephone by credit/debit card. A member of staff in our bank, Santander Totta, Vilamoura, kindly offered to go to the EDP office on our behalf to settle the bill to save us the hassle. How's that for help?
