Also just behind the bus station in Lagoa is a shop that sells all sizes of mattresses

If your bed is standard UK size, I would suggest Style Furnishings. You can buy orthopaedic mattresses there, imported from the UK. We have used one for the last 4 years, and found it very comfortable.
