Beware the water bombs and eggs!!

Post by Jo »

Just watch those delighful creatures that are known as teenagers sitting on the windowsill of the wine shop in the square!! They have this little game called water bomb the tourists when their back is turned, and then sit there without murmuring a word or change facial expressions so that you won't think it's them!!!! NB Waterbombers: we are not that stupid!

After returning from the Jailhouse very late one night, a car drove down the one way system and it's passenger lobbed an egg out the window at us!! Fortunately it missed!! and no .. we were not singing, staggering, shouting abuse etc!!

Please don't be put off Carvoeiro, anyone reading this who's not been there, it's quite "innocent" and non-aggressive. It's just a shame my husband wouldn't let me go and sort them out!!!!!!! They'd be too scared to come back!

yup, must keep an eye on the sky in Carvoeiro and be aware that when driving past Poço Partido on the road to Lagoa, your car may also be pelted with waterbombs - I say this because driving past there at 60 Km makes it a lot more dangerous than if you got the fright while slowly cruising through Carvoeiro.

I know this is about waterbombs!
But is it this tues (pancake day/Shrove tues) that everyone throws flour and eggs at each other..seem to remember that?
People ought to put their favourite 'crepe' recipes here!
I know some delish ones--but will wait to see others here first!
Yum Yum..Im feeling hungry again! :)
Anyone here (UK..or maybe Algarve?) ..going in for a 'pancake race'..remember doing that at my kiddies school..all the mums!
