How many can you carry

Post by Robbie »

Hi gang. Quick question. How many people can you legally carry in Portugal without a special license. My family are travelling in a few weeks. We have convinced another family to travel at the same time but they are landing in Lisbon. I was hoping that they could hire a vehicle which could carry two families rather than having two cars hired and parked at the apartment every day. The details are below
husband/wife and three small children
husband/wife and two small children and one teen.

Could we hire a transit or people carrier to take all 10 people ???

HOW MANY CAN YOU CARRY

Andy,
Would you like to buy a child   I have one too many and would like to offload one. You can choose from a 15 year old girl who is good mannered but at a dangerous age. You can have a 11 year old boy who shouldn't really be at a dangerous age but acts as though he is or you can have a bonny little 4 year old rascal who will keep you busy 24/7. Sold to the highest bidder to allow me to hire a minibus

It is often/usually cheaper to hire two small vehicles rather than a mini-bus style vehicle - and well it also allows for some freedom (especially if this is the first time you have holidayed together - lol!).

I agree with you Maddi it would be cheaper. The only thing is that I go down to Carvoeiro 4-5 times a year (  ) and always hire a car but the one time it is left at the door for almost the entire stay is peak summer months. The weather is unbroken sunshine and there is no reason to go for a drive. Besides it is uncomfortable with both traffic and heat. We have holidayed with the other family in Carv before (they are family) and it is unlikely that we would all want or need to travel to the same place at the same time so I'll check it out anyway. Thanks for info.
