HOPE I HAVE SPELIT IT RIGHT FOR MADDIS SAKE'?!
Anyway. I have been thinking about what great metropolis could be twinned with Carvoeiro...can I suggest Scunthorpe?...both have fish and chip shops and both have a beach, and both have some nice pavement kaffs.

Can I suggest Brixham in Devon, both fishing villages with small fishing cottages clambering up the hill side either side of the inlet and both have a tenous link to a great seafairer and conquering hero (??!!). For Brixham that is William the Conqueror.

When all the demolition work was going on in Portimão I reckon it should have been twinned with Beirut!
