Hi

Stayed at vale de milho quite a few times takes about 10 Min's to walk to rocha brava we go every morning for a newspaper there is a bit of an Hill on way back in to vale de milho but it is fine
Think it is about 3 to 4 euros in to town we have used the same taxi driver for 4 years and his English is fine.

Taxi : Jose m. piscarreta (00351) 968 087 386

We use his drivers all the time we are there and to and from the airport

Hope this helps

Into town and Intermarche if possible. I take it you won't have a car

I prefer Modelo on the way to Slide and Splash. Great range of fish. Also Plus( a bit like Lidl) which is very good for Water and Wine!

Hi

We go to the intermarche but just use Rocha brava for newspapers and if we run out of bread and milk
We use one of the butchers in town as well kept going to try the modelo but wasn't sure what it was like will try it this year.

Don't forget there are now 3 butchers in town now and all individual traders as against part of a store group. Cazzy, have you ever tried the fish or meat from the market just off restaurant hill. Top notch

Hi Mike

We went up there last time and picked the day it was closed but we will definitely try it this year we have always used the butcher on the same road as the Irish times but we do eat more fish so it would be better to get it all in the same place
Thanks

Hi
Think taxi to intermarche was between 3 and 5 euros can't remember exact price
First few years we didn't hire a car and found it no more expensive to use the taxis even going into silves and portimao
We hired a car this time as we had to travel around a lot more looking at properties but we still used taxis at night so we could have a drink

Buses

Post by White Rabbit 2 »

I believe you can get a bus from Rocha brava , vale de milho straight to intermarche . The shop in Rocha brava is very expensive , its worth the bus ride to get the cheaper prices , but stay on the bus and go to plus as their prices are better still . ( also they have better fruit and veg than Intermarche and modelo , but the fish in modelo is great , and the ladies serving are little diamonds who will advise on cooking the fish )
