I thoroughly recommend Restaurant Roma just outside the village near Poco Partido - the food is great, service good and there is a play area for the children and sometimes organised activities while you relax over coffee.

Have a great birthday! :D

Have a look at the restaurant review section, lots of recommendations & warnings. Restaurant Roma gets mixed reviews I've noticed so probably worth reading about it & a few different places before you decide.

Maxims is my favourite and it provides portable DVD players and films for the children if they get bored.

Villa Medici would be my fist choice for this age range - they can be a little more 'free' out the back and my 5 and 8 year olds love the kids own sitting area with play kitchen -food it pretty good as well :D

Also, and I don't know if this is important, but they open at 6pm so if your little ones get ratty like mine if they eat too late this is a bonus

Alternatively (and at the risk of being shot by some  ) I would go for Rei de Prais at Canieros beach. They have built a new open air deck over the winter (only has about six tables so book early folks!) but the food and view is superb and the kids can enjoy the beach whilst you relax over coffee and brandy etc.

Sounds like a good place for a punch-up!

I agree with Rei dos Praias. The kids can hop down to the beach if they get bored.

Roma...blech!

Bella Italia (or Vita?) has wonderful food, caring and patient service with kids and a playground.

Bella Vita's great & they have patio doors leading directly to a safe play area for children, you should ask for the table next to them so you can keep an eye on the kids. And it's a nice restaurant to go to for a special occasion. :D
