Big Willy told me that when the jolly boys go to CVO in a couple of weeks that he will be shut!!! Not a disaster for me but the lads do like a little sing song after a day on the beer! Is the lovely art of Karaoke performed anywhere else in CVO?
We did Mungos on the Saturday, Jokers on the Sunday!
One of the lads is a pro singer and he did a spot in Mungos just to give the girl a break, he is a really small guy but a great voice. Well he was singing "how sweet it is to be loved by you" and a group of lads in the corner of Mungos were singing "how sweet it is to be four foot two" great few days break.

Will told me in October he had sold the business to a group of Russians for €1.1M and would be out of it by the end of the year.
I get the impression the deal has not materialised, or is he making such a lot of money from it that he can afford to close for 4 months?
I think the demise of Irish Dave (rightly or wrongly) has hit him and he appears to have lost his enthusiasm for the business - it's a great pity.

I sincerely hope that the Roundup and Jailhouse continue as live music venues even if they do change hands. They both attract good return business throughout the season and it would be a shame to loose either on e of them.
